Kids' Eye Exams

We LOVE kids here at ACVC!  Our staff prides itself on going out of our way to welcome and reassure our youngest patients.  From the time our patients arrive, through the exam and choosing glasses, and then looking forward to schedule regular appointments, we're here to make your experience a positive one.  

First-Time Patients...

Howard and the Amazing Eye Exam

Follow the above link to download a really great book written by an eye care professional about Howard the Hedgehog and his adventures at his first eye exam. While we don't use exactly the same procedures here in this office, the book is a great introduction for kids to the kinds of things that happen during a routine exam.

The above link is to a short YouTube narrated by a child detailing his trip to the eye doctor.  The only major difference in procedure is that we use a hand-held tonometer here in our office.
