Dr. Don Stoken

Undergraduate - Carnegie - Mellon University 1981 B. S. Biochemistry.
Graduate - PA College of Optometry 1985. Received honors in clinical excellence for the 4th academic year. Certified by the PA Board of Optometry to prescribe therapeutic pharmaceutical agents for the treatment of anterior eye diseases and glaucoma. Active member of PA. Optometric Assoc., Central Society, since 1985. Past president & active member of the Upper Adams Lions Club since 1993. Provides eye exams & glasses and participates in vision screenings for several Adams County Lions Clubs. Participates annually in InfantSee & Vision U.S.A.. Programs designed to provide free eye exams & glasses for families & working individuals without health insurance. |
Dr. Stoken has been practicing at the Adams Cumberland Professional Building in Gardners, since 1988.
Jolene, Optometric Technician

Jolene graduated with a degree as an Optometric Technician in 2003 from Central Pennsylvania College in Summerdale, PA and joined the practice in May 2003.
As a technician she assists the Dr. by performing preliminary exam testing, capturing patient medical history, and operating diagnostic equipment for all patient care. Proficient in coordinating all patient referrals and education and manages the optical and eyewear dispensary. |
Nan, Insurance Billing Specialist

Nan joined the practice in February 2005.
Completed a Medical Billing Certification Program from HACC, Gettysburg Campus, in May 2004. Handles submission and reimbursement for all third party insurance claims. |
Deb, Receptionist and Optical Assistant

Deb joined the practice in November 2014.
Handles patient registration, appointment scheduling, and notifications. Assists in eyewear dispensary and optical. |
Mackenzie, Optical Assistant
Mackenzie joined the practice in September 2024.
Works with patients to select eyewear, take fitting measurements, discuss lens options and build pricing (with or without insurance).
Assists with contact lens trainings, eyewear dispensing and communications.
Performs some of the testing required for a comprehensive eye exam.
